Florida lawyer Gary Dorst went to his office in Maitland on Sunday evening and found a grenade hanging from his doorknob.

Authorities aren’t sure if the grenade is real, according to stories at CFnews13.com and Wesh.com. The Seminole County Bomb Squad plans to detonate the device this week to see if it is a live grenade, WOFL reported.

Investigators believe the grenade was intended as a threat rather that an attempt to harm, since it was hanging on the doorknob in plain view.

Dorst practices family and criminal law. He was a police officer before attending law school, and a prosecutor after graduation, according to his Avvo profile.
