Space shuttle Discovery aims for Florida landing

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) - The weather is looking up for space shuttle Discovery.

NASA says the forecast appears favorable for Tuesday morning's landing attempt in Florida. On Monday, rain and overcast skies prevented Discovery and its seven astronauts from returning home.

Discovery is scheduled to touch down at 7:34 a.m., shortly after sunrise. The only concern is possible frog.

The shuttle will cut a path across the nation's Midwest on its way back. Early morning risers in Minneapolis, Chicago and Indianapolis should have a chance to see Discovery as it streaks toward Cape Canaveral. It's the first time since 2007 that a shuttle has descended over so much of the United States.

Discovery is wrapping up a 15-day space station mission.
