A now-former general counsel of World Wrestling Entertainment and a law firm paralegal reportedly have suffered job repercussions over unrelated situations concerning, respectively, a party after a WrestleMania 26 event and a nude photograph with what some observers have assumed to be strategically placed tomatoes sent to a jailed client.

Corporate Counsel reports that WWE is denying a claim by wrestling author Irv Muchnick that the company fired general counsel Jared Bartie over allegations that he made unwanted sexual advances at the party to a female sales employee. Instead, in an e-mail to Corporate Counsel, WWE says that Bartie and the company "have parted ways amicably."

Meanwhile, the unidentified female employee who accused Bartie has also been axed, according to Muchnick, after being caught in a sex act during work hours with a subordinate male employee at WWE's offices, the legal publication reports.

In an unrelated incident, a California law firm paralegal has been banned from the Sacramento Main County Jail. She is alleged to have abused the firm's extraordinary access and attorney-client privilege by providing personal mail to a client that included an emery board and a nude photo of his girlfriend holding tomatoes, according to a court filing (PDF) and the Money & Company blog of the Los Angeles Times.

It appears that the paralegal acted unknowingly.

“No one in my office had considered searching the mail. No one had a clue what was in the envelope,” defense attorney Malcolm Segal tells the Times blog.
