Wife of suburban NYC mayor: Stop domestic case

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) - A lawyer for the wife of a suburban New York City mayor says she's changed her mind about wanting him prosecuted for allegedly shutting a door on her hand.

White Plains Mayor Adam Bradley turned himself in to police to face an assault charge Sunday after his wife filed a domestic-violence complaint. He strenuously refuted Fumiko Bradley's claim.

Her attorney, Neal Comer (KOH'-mur), said Friday that she does not want the case to go forward and does not want to testify against her husband.

The couple first appeared Friday in White Plains City Court. The case was then transferred to a Westchester County domestic violence court, where the second judge loosened an order of protection.

Neither of the Bradleys commented afterward.

Adam Bradley, a former state assemblyman, was elected mayor in 2009.
