Michael Jackson's father plans to sue the doctor who was treating his son at the time of the famous pop singer's death in Los Angeles last year, from what the Los Angeles coroner determined to be "acute propofol intoxication." The powerful intravenous anesthetic allegedly was administered by Dr. Conrad Murray, Jackson's personal physician, who is now facing an involuntary manslaughter charge.

Had Murray called 911 immediately, Michael Jackson probably could have been revived, contends attorney Brian Oxman. He is representing Joe Jackson, the singer's father, and says he plans to file a wrongful death suit within 90 days, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Jackson, 50, was pronounced dead on June 25, 2009 at UCLA Medical Center some two hours after he arrived by ambulance.

"The bottom line is, had paramedics gotten there earlier and had they been called [to Jackson's home] right away, chances are he could have been revived," Oxman tells the newspaper.
