The woman who taught Tiger Woods' kindergarten class has retained Gloria Allred to pursue a retraction from the now world-famous golfer of a story he told in a book about his first day of school, reports the New York Daily News.

According to Woods, he first became aware of the issue that his biracial identity posed to some of those around him when "a group of sixth graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted the word 'n-----' on me, and threw rocks at me," states a passage in the 2005 book, Who's Afraid of a Large Black Man? by onetime pro basketball star Charles Barkley. "That was my first day of school. And the teacher really didn't do much of anything," the book continues.

But that story is simply not true, says Woods' kindergarten teacher, Maureen Decker.

It isn't explained why Decker is now going public with the retraction demand. However, Allred also represents porn performer Joslyn James, who is one of a number of women who have said in recent months that they had affairs with Woods.
