A bias lawsuit filed by a former case manager against the Richmond, Va.-based Williams Mullen law firm has been dismissed.

A lawyer who represented Williams Mullen, Hunter Sims Jr., told Above the Law that “the matter was resolved by mutual agreement of the parties.”

The sexual harassment and discrimination suit by 18-year employee Hanh Nguyen Allgood, who is Vietnamese, had claimed she was subjected to ethnic slurs and a prank involving a cucumber.

According to Allgood’s complaint, firm partner Robert Eicher was on the elevator with Allgood when he pretended to be depressed and asked for a hug. She agreed, and noticed something hard against her thigh. “Allgood was horrified,” the suit says. “She pushed him away and stepped back. In response, Eicher laughed and pulled a cucumber out of his pants pocket.” Other employees later told Allgood that they were victims of the “cucumber incident,” the suit said.

Above the Law reports that Allgood is now working at a new law firm, “hopefully one without cucumbers.”
