PITTSBURGH (AP) - The estate of an alleged clery abuse victim who committed suicide is suing the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh because it stopped paying for his mental health treatments.

A copy of the lawsuit obtained by The Associated Press says 39-year-old Michael Unglo committed suicide in May in Massachusetts.

The man's estate says the diocese stopped paying for Unglo's treatments after two other suicide attempts. The suit alleges negligence by the diocese and Bishop David Zubik and seeks at least $50,000 in damages.

The diocese did not immediately respond to calls and an e-mail seeking comment.

Unglo was an altar boy in the 1980s and alleged he was molested by a priest. The priest was convicted of molesting another boy and later resigned.
