Drenched Texas Gulf communities brace for rain

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) - Crews plan to resume searching an area near the Texas Gulf coast community of Corpus Christi for a motorist who went missing during heavy flooding.

The driver was swept away by floodwater Monday after a creek flooded near the city.

More rain is expected to fall in the drenched region that has been buffeted this summer by tropical storms, their remnants and storm systems they've spawned.

The National Weather Service has issued flash flood watches for several eastern Texas counties.
