Other drivers rescue Ky. woman from burning car

TAYLOR MILL, Ky. (AP) - Fellow drivers rescued a woman whose car plunged off on overpass and caught fire in northern Kentucky.

The car fell upside down Wednesday beside Interstate 275 in Taylor Mill, east of Interstate 75.

When the car caught fire, a commercial painter used a bucket to scoop up water and mud, which slowed the spread of the flames.

Taylor Mill police tell The Kentucky Enquirer the driver of the car was identified as Melissa Robbins.

Northern Kentucky University nursing student Bryan Brulport arrived and saw the flames coming from the crushed car. He kicked out a window and pulled Robbins out. Brulport and other drivers dragged her away from the burning car. She was flown to University Hospital, where her condition wasn't immediately known.
